Sales Development Representative
Full time • San Francisco, CA • $80K – $90K base • $130K – $160K OTE
Parameter builds AI agents that do offensive security work. Our agents run autonomous penetration tests against production applications and cloud environments, finding IDORs, broken access control, XSS, and infrastructure misconfigurations that scanners miss and that human pentest firms only look for once or twice a year.
We are not a theoretical security company. Our team has responsibly disclosed real, high-severity vulnerabilities to well-known technology companies, and our findings are the front door to most of our customer relationships.
Our best conversations start the same way: we find something real in a prospect's environment and tell them about it. You'll own the top of that funnel. That means researching accounts, working with the security team on what we found, and writing the outbound that makes a CISO reply within the hour.
This is not a role where you read a script into a dialer. The people you're emailing break software for a living and can tell within one line whether you understand their problem. You'll need to learn enough security to be credible: what an IDOR is, why broken access control is the thing that keeps them up, and why a once-a-year pentest doesn't cover a codebase that ships daily.
What you'll do
- Own outbound to security and engineering leaders: build the account list, write the sequences, and run the follow-up
- Turn our vulnerability research into first meetings. When we find something real, you're the reason the right person hears about it
- Book and prepare qualified calls for the founders, and sit in on them until you're running discovery yourself
- Keep the CRM honest. Clean data, accurate stages, and a pipeline number nobody has to caveat
- Close the loop on messaging. Tell us which lines land, which segments convert, and what we should stop saying
What we're looking for
- 1+ years of outbound sales development, ideally into technical buyers, or a track record that makes the case some other way
- You write well. Short, specific, and free of the phrasing every other vendor in their inbox is using
- Genuine curiosity about security. You do not need a background in it, but you do need to want one
- Comfort with rejection and with volume. The job is a lot of activity and a small number of very good conversations
- You build your own leverage: research workflows, enrichment, automation, whatever gets you more at-bats without more hours
- Bonus: sold into security or developer tools, worked at an early-stage startup, or hold a security certification
Interview process (3 rounds)
- Intro call with a founder (30 minutes)
- Written exercise and mock call (10 minutes)
- Paid work trial (1 day)
- References and offer
You'll have the founders on your calls, the research team feeding you reasons to reach out, and a product that proves itself in the first engagement. We move quickly and aim to make an offer within two weeks of first contact.
This role is onsite in San Francisco. You must be authorized to work in the US; we are not able to sponsor visas at this time.
