Parameter

Backed by Y Combinator

Everything you'veput on the internet.

Watchtower maps every hostname, IP address, service, and website under a domain you own, then tracks what's new, what changed, and what stopped answering.

Built by the team that secured:

Apple
Google
Microsoft
U.S. Department of Defense
T-Mobile
Henkel
Epic Games
AT&T
Yahoo

[ how it works ]

From one domainto the whole surface.

01

Add a domain

Add a domain you own and prove it with a single DNS record. Watchtower scans nothing until that record answers.

02

Discover

Each run reads certificate transparency logs, web archives, and passive DNS, then resolves every hostname it finds and checks what is listening.

03

Watch

Every run is a snapshot. Watchtower compares it with the last one and marks each host as new, changed, or no longer observed.

[ what it maps ]

An inventory, nota list of domains

Every asset carries what Watchtower knows about it: where it resolves, who hosts it, what is listening, and how all of that has moved since the last run.

Hostnames and subdomains

IP addresses, cloud provider and ASN

Open ports and the services behind them

Websites and the status they answer with

TLS certificates, issuer and expiry

DNS records: A, AAAA, CNAME, CAA

Aliases pointing at third-party hosting

Change history across every snapshot

[ why parameter ]

A map is only usefulif something acts on it.

Most attack surface tools hand you a spreadsheet and stop. Watchtower sits next to the agents that test what it finds.

Built from a pentest engine

Watchtower is the discovery stage of Parameter's pentesting harness, split out into its own product. It's the map our agents were already working from.

Ownership comes first

A domain is watched only after a DNS record proves it's yours. Nothing is resolved, probed, or recorded before that.

One step from a pentest

Every asset opens a penetration test against that host, so a service you discovered this morning can be tested the same day, in the same platform.

[ definition ]

What is external attack surface management?

External attack surface management (EASM) is the continuous discovery and monitoring of the systems an organization exposes to the public internet. Parameter's Watchtower starts from a domain you have proved you own, collects hostnames from certificate transparency logs, web archives, and passive DNS, then resolves each one to record its IP addresses, hosting provider, open ports, services, TLS certificate, and DNS records. Every run is kept as a snapshot and compared with the previous one, so each asset is marked new, changed, or no longer observed, and any of them can be handed straight to a penetration test.
